Student Life

Getting Involved

Getting involved is an integral part of student life at BGA. We intentionally offer a balanced educational experience that challenges students academically while also providing time and opportunity to explore and pursue their passions outside of the classroom — making each student’s BGA experience uniquely theirs to create. In fact, no two students’ BGA experience is the same. Each student is known and nurtured as an individual, and this extends to their artistic, athletic, co-curricular, and extracurricular endeavors.

In-class instruction for visual and performing arts begins in kindergarten. Students expound upon those interests during after-school programming, from short courses to private and small group lessons to performance groups and large-scale productions.

BGA Girls Track

The BGA Athletics Department and BGA Legends Youth Leagues provide kindergarten through 12th grade students with opportunities to play competitive team sports. Students are encouraged to participate in as many athletic activities as they desire and that are practical for the student and the school.

BGA Faculty, Staff & Students Attend 2021 Tearing Down the Walls Conference

Over the summer, BGA faculty, staff, students -- and even some recent alumni -- attended the 2021 Tearing Down the Walls Conference for independent private schools. Throughout the conference, faculty and staff participated in interactive sessions on equity, antiracism, inclusion, and community, while students participated in their own program designed to identify and develop the qualities necessary to become leaders and bridge builders in any environment.
