BGA Seniors Sign National Letters of Intent
Two BGA seniors signed letters of intent on December 17 to continue playing sports in college next year. Jessi Meghreblian will play beach volleyball at Eckerd College and Kennedy Price will play women's soccer at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Senior Lindsay Phelps Named Kerr & Co. Realty's Athlete of the Week
Join us in congratulating senior Lindsay Phelps, this week's Kerr & Co. Realty's Athlete of the Week. Lindsay is a member of BGA's Cross Country team, was named an All-Region runner in 9th, 10th, and 12 grades, and placed 24th in this year's State competition.
Senior Kennedy Price Named John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete
Join us in congratulating Kennedy Price '22 who has been selected as the latest John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete for 2021-22. Price has committed to play college soccer at the University of Tennessee. She is the daughter of Dawn and Derek Price of Franklin.
Middle School Faculty Member and Coach Inducted into Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame
BGA Middle School math teacher and girls basketball coach Mandy Nowlin was recently inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Nowlin considers basketball a significant part of her life. Her father coached it, and she and her brother played it for as long as she can remember. She uses her love of the game to coach BGA middle schoolers, teaching them the game and the qualities she has learned through the game.
Bella Bugg '23 Playing in Tennessee Cup to Benefit St. Jude
This weekend, Bella Bugg ‘23 will hit the links in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Snedeker Foundation, and the American Junior Golf Association’s ACE Grant program. Joining 23 junior golfers from around the state, Bugg will play in the AJGA’s third annual Tennessee Cup, a two-day Ryder Cup-style event.
BGA Cross Country Team Makes History
BGA's Boy's Cross Country team completed their season with the highest team finish in program history at the TSSAA State Cross Country Championship securing State-Runner-Up honors in Division DII-A.
Senior Sean Williams Named Mr. Football Semifinalist
Congratulations to senior Sean Williams for being named a a Mr. Football semifinalist. The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards will be presented on December 7 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville to the top football players in nine classifications of the TSSAA. This is the 37th year the Mr. Football Awards have been presented to the Tennessee's best high school football players.
Alumna Wrenne French Named Second Team All-SEC in Women's Soccer
Join us in congratulating Wrenne French '17 who has been named Second Team All-SEC in Women's Soccer at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she is an anchor for the Tennessee back line. While at BGA, Wrenne helped lead the Lady Wildcats to a state title in 2014, was a member of the National Honors Society, and Digamma.
BGA Wins Division II-A Volleyball Championship Title; Kyra Hampton '23 Named MVP
BGA's varsity volleyball team defeated Concord Christian 3-0 to win the program’s first state Championship! Congratulations to the players, Coach Alvarez, Coach Carlisle, and staff!
Senior Abby Robertson Named Heart of the Team Winner by Herff Jones
Join us in congratulating Abby Robertson '22 as the latest Herff Jones Heart of the Team weekly winner for her dedication to teammates and willingness to do whatever it takes for her team to find success. The Lady Wildcats play today at 11:00 at MTCS for a state title against Concord Christian.
Lady Wildcats Continue Their March to Championship Semifinal!
Division II A Quarterfinals: BGA wins the fourth set 25-23 to defeat Northpoint Christian and advance to the 9:30 a.m. match on Wednesday, October 19, versus Notre Dame High School. Go Wildcats!
Eva Schreiber '23 Named Athlete of the Week by Gateway Tire
BGA congratulates junior Eva Schreiber who has been named a Gateway Tire Athlete of the Week. Schreiber recently helped lead the BGA girls soccer team to the Division II-A Middle Region Championship.
BGA Volleyball Wins Back-to-Back Division II A Regional Championship Title
For the second straight year, the BGA Lady Wildcats Volleyball team has won the Division II A Regional tournament after defeating Goodpasture, the defending state champion, in a hard fought four set match: 28-26, 27-26, 24-26, 25-23. The win secures a first round bye for BGA in the sub-state tournament.

Zion Morris '22 Named Heart of the Team Award Recipient by Herff Jones
Zion Morris '22, a nose guard for BGA's Varsity Football Team, was recently selected to receive the Herff Jones Heart of the Team award for his work ethic and team-first approach.

Coach Trey Meyer Named 2021 Rising Coaches Lifetime Award Recipient
BGA varsity boys basketball head coach Trey Meyer has been named a 2021 Rising Coaches Lifetime Award recipient for his commitment to improving the coaching professions.
BGA Football Remembers Beathard '16 and Trapini '16 with Jersey Honor
This season, BGA Football remembers Clay Beathard ‘16 and Paul Trapini ‘16 by electing two deserving Wildcats to wear their jerseys. More information may be found here.

Two Lady Wildcats Named to Nashville Area's Top 25 Soccer Players to Watch List
Join us in congratulating BGA senior Kennedy Price (left) and junior Keaton Mitchell (right) recently named to The Tennessean's list of Top 25 players to keep an eye on this season.
BGA Names Trey Meyer As Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach
Trey Meyer has been named BGA's Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for the 2021-2022 school year. In addition to coaching basketball, Meyer will serve as Associate of Admissions for BGA Upper School and assisting golf.
BGA US Track Athletes Headed to State Championship
The Battle Ground Academy boys and girls track and field teams traveled to FRA for the regional championship. Across three days of competition, the region's athletes vied for opportunities to compete in the State Championship. In the final team standings, the girls finished 5th, and the boys finished 4th. Both the girls and the boys 4x800m relays set new school records. The Division II-A State Championship will take place on Wednesday, May 26, at Rockvale High School in Murfreesboro.
