Our Application for Admission is open for students entering in Fall 2022! We anticipate space will be limited, and we encourage interested families to apply by January 15 for priority consideration.

Begin your child’s BGA admission process by completing our inquiry form. You will need to complete a form for each child you would like to be considered for admission. Upon completion, you will receive access to myBGA, which houses our application for admission.

Visit Campus

When you’re comfortable, make plans to join us on campus for an individual tour. Those families participating in on-campus tours may be asked to wear a mask to help us keep our community healthy.

In order to visit campus, you must complete an inquiry form. Upon receipt, our admissions office will reach out to you to schedule a day and time that works best for your family.

In order to be considered in the first round of admission decisions for Fall 2022, we must receive your Fall 2022 application by 11:59 p.m. CT on January 15, 2022.

Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space-available basis and applicants may be wait-listed.

Assessments (Lower School)

Battle Ground Academy requires all applicants to complete an assessment. Kindergarten and 1st grade student assessments typically last 45 minutes to an hour and are proctored individually by a faculty member. Assessments include a variety of hands-on and engaging activities to assess developmental readiness in the areas of number concepts, auditory skills, fine motor skills, language concepts, visual skills, and gross motor skills.

Assessments for candidates applying to 2nd through 4th grades will be offered at the BGA Lower School on Saturday, December 11, and Saturday, January 29. Registration for testing will be sent upon receipt of your online application. We require the OLSAT (Otis-Lennon School Abilities Test) and a writing sample. We will also accept ISEE scores. Testing takes approximately 2 hours and is proctored by BGA personnel.

After we receive your application for admission, your admissions representative, Elizabeth Spitzer, will work with you to schedule your testing.

ISEE Testing (Middle & Upper School)

Middle and Upper School students are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Only one ISEE family account is needed to manage testing for multiple students. Tests can be taken at BGA, at designated testing centers, or at home. BGA will host the ISEE for Fall 2022 applicants on the following dates:

Shadow Day

After we receive your application for admission, your admissions representative will work with you to schedule a shadow day for 1st through 11th grades. Shadow days allow your student to spend time on campus getting to know students and faculty, and participating in classes and other typical school day activities. Each student will have a “buddy” for the day to ensure your child feels comfortable and welcome (a trademark of BGA!).

Kindergarten applicants are asked to register for one Kindergarten Observation. Kindergarten Observation is a 30-minute playtime in the kindergarten classroom with other applicants to assess social/emotional readiness. While students play, parents will spend time in a Q and A session in the Library. Observations are offered monthly between October and February. Registration will be sent upon completion of the application.

Records & Recommendations

In order to be considered for admission, we must have students’ academic records and teacher recommendations on file. These forms are available to download from your admission checklist in myBGA once we’ve received your application for admission

Williamson County public schools will not complete teacher recommendation forms. For those applicants, the requirement is waived.

Financial Aid

Our deadline to apply for financial aid is February 1. Families who meet our priority consideration and financial aid deadlines will receive admission and financial aid notification on March 5. Families who miss the financial aid deadline will be considered as funds allow.
