Alumna Wrenne French Named Second Team All-SEC in Women's Soccer
Join us in congratulating Wrenne French '17 who has been named Second Team All-SEC in Women's Soccer at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she is an anchor for the Tennessee back line. While at BGA, Wrenne helped lead the Lady Wildcats to a state title in 2014, was a member of the National Honors Society, and Digamma.
Cmdr. Kelechi Ndukwe '97 and USS Halsey Return to Pearl Harbor after 5-Month Deployment
Cmdr. Kelechi Ndukwe '97 led the USS Halsey (DDG 97) and its crew back to its homeport at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on October 4, after successfully completing a scheduled five-month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. BGA Inducts New Hall of Fame Members During Homecoming Weekend
On Saturday, October 2, Battle Ground Academy inducted five new members into its Alumni Hall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame. In addition, the school honored Peter Kropp, Ph.D. as its Distinguished Young Alumnus in a ceremony held at BGA’s Sondra Morris and Robert N. Moore, Jr. ’52 Center for Arts and Entrepreneurship as part of the school’s Homecoming Weekend festivities.
Municipal Court Judge Deana Hood '89 Announces Candidacy for Circuit Court Judge
BGA alumna Deana Hood '89 recently announced her bid for circuit court judge for the 21st Judicial District Division II seat in Williamson County.
Dr. Eleanor Fleming '96 Receives 10 Under 10 Award from the American Dental Association
BGA alumna and former Trustee Dr. Eleanor Fleming ‘96 was named one of the 2021 recipients of the American Dental Association's 10 Under 10 Awards, which recognizes new dentists who demonstrate excellence early in their careers. More information may be found here.

Eddie Roberts ‘69 and daughter Cackie Roberts Walker ‘00 celebrated Roberts Toyota’s 50th anniversary on Tuesday, August 10. Roberts Toyota is the oldest family-owned Toyota dealership in Middle Tennessee and the second oldest in the state.
USS Halsey, Commanded by Kelechi Ndukwe '97, Provides Emergency Aid to Merchant Vessel in Arabian Gulf
On July 27, the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97), under the command of Keleche Ndukwe ‘97, provided emergency assistance to an Indian-flagged merchant vessel and its 15 mariners in the international waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Congratulations to recent BGA alumna Emma Creecy '21, whose Butterfly Vase sculpture was named "Best of the Best" in ceramics by the Tennessee Arts Academy and is included in the TAA's Best of the Best 2021 Student Art Exhibition.

Make a Difference at BGA
Give to the BGA Fund and help us ensure we can continue to fulfill our mission. The dollars you give provide resources to attract and retain a highly talented and committed faculty; purchase and support necessary classroom technology; create and sustain numerous clubs, sports, arts, and extracurricular activities; and, finally, support the school’s ability to offer financial aid to deserving students who would not otherwise be able to attend the school.
