Join us in congratulating Wrenne French '17 who has been named Second Team All-SEC in Women's Soccer at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she is an anchor for the Tennessee back line. While at BGA, Wrenne helped lead the Lady Wildcats to a state title in 2014, was a member of the National Honors Society, and Digamma. 

Cmdr. Kelechi Ndukwe '97 led the USS Halsey (DDG 97) and its crew back to its homeport at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on October 4, after successfully completing a scheduled five-month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. More information about Halsey's recent deployment and mission can be found here.

On Saturday, October 2, Battle Ground Academy inducted five new members into its Alumni Hall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame. In addition, the school honored Peter Kropp, Ph.D. as its Distinguished Young Alumnus in a ceremony held at BGA’s Sondra Morris and Robert N. Moore, Jr. ’52 Center for Arts and Entrepreneurship as part of the school’s Homecoming Weekend festivities.

BGA alumna Deana Hood '89 recently announced her bid for circuit court judge for the 21st Judicial District Division II seat in Williamson County. 

BGA alumna and former Trustee Dr. Eleanor Fleming ‘96 was named one of the 2021 recipients of the American Dental Association's 10 Under 10 Awards, which recognizes new dentists who demonstrate excellence early in their careers. More information may be found here.

Eddie Roberts ‘69 and daughter Cackie Roberts Walker ‘00 celebrated Roberts Toyota’s 50th anniversary on Tuesday, August 10. Roberts Toyota is the oldest family-owned Toyota dealership in Middle Tennessee and the second oldest in the state.

On July 27, the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97), under the command of Keleche Ndukwe ‘97, provided emergency assistance to an Indian-flagged merchant vessel and its 15 mariners in the international waters of the Arabian Gulf. 

Will Powell ‘02 served as master of ceremonies for the ribbon cutting at FirstBank's new branch in Nolensville, Tennessee. More information about the event is in the Williamson Herald. 

Congratulations to recent BGA alumna Emma Creecy '21, whose Butterfly Vase sculpture was named "Best of the Best" in ceramics by the Tennessee Arts Academy and is included in the TAA's Best of the Best 2021 Student Art Exhibition.

BGA class of 2017 graduate and Hobart College tennis all-star Walker Anderson was recently named the 2020-21 Liberty League Men's Scholar Athlete of the Year. 

The BGA Alumni Association's Golf Classic resumed this year with good weather, 112 players, 65 sponsors, and over $46,000 raised!

BGA alum Nathan Moran, Class of 2014, recently named assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The Greers won the 82nd BGA Tug across the Harpeth River.

BGA welcomes James Jewell ’86 and Sondra Morris to the Board of Trustees and announces Mark Puryear ’85 as the new Board Chair, succeeding Kurt Winstead.
